Pickled Red Onions

This basic pickle is incredibly useful to have in your fridge.

It can be used to dress up salads, sandwiches or for garnish!

More importantly its easy to make and lasts for about a month!!

Here’s how to make it

Pickled Red Onions

2 c. vinegar
4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
6 whole all spice berries
2 bay leaves
couple thyme sprigs
salt
1 red onion, cut into rings

Tools:
medium saucepan or pot
wooden spoon
sterilized glass container

Bring the first seven ingredients to a boil. Add the red onion and boil until the onion is cooked but slightly crunchy, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.  Let cool a bit and place in glass container.
